Junkman Dec 13 2004, 05:35 AM Game: Kenny's Rampage Creator: Matt Kennedy Genre: Action Description: After having being killed one too many times, help Kenny exact revenge by killing everyone else. Rating: 64% Review: I fear I'm going to get flamed for this review. I know many people loved this game because of it's ultra-violent portrayal, as you shoot innocent people, army dudes and policemen, but is the game that good? I never thought so. I've been one of the very few people who didn't liked the game, but I'll promise to be fair in my review. Please read, and keep your hands off the shotguns, wheel-spanners and crosses for now. In this game, you play as Kenny, whose family has been murdered by some federal agents. You're mad, and you take your trusty shotgun and go on a rampage to exact the wrongs done to your family. It is very rewrding to kill every people in this game, as they can show gruesome death sequences. The policeman, when shot down, shout out "man down, MAN DOWN!" to their walkie-talkies before dying. You can even blow out people's skulls with your gun. Yummy yummy. I hope you had a good dinner. smile.gif While all of this stuff is pretty cool indeed (I mean, who doesn't like tons of blood and gore?), the gameplay gets quickly boring. The enemies do not show much signs of intelligence and killing the army dudes over and over again gets repetitive. There's also a car level in which your aim is to escape the police, but it is so easy to outrun those stupid law enforcers who'll crash in other people's cars if they're in the way. Graphics are a mixture of good and bad graphics. Characters graphics are good and do the job, but every other background graphic look terrible. Like I already said, the gory animations look great enough and are gruesome, but that's about the game's only strong point. The sound effects are good enough, with screams, gunshots and other lovely deadly stuff that a mother would like. tongue.gif To sum it up. Kenny Rampage is good, but not as good as other people made it look like. Blowing people up with shotguns surely is fun, but it needs to be mixed up a bit. Play it once and see all the lovely gore, blood and opened heads, but that's about it. Bring out the shotguns, wheel-spanners and crosses now people, I'm done with the review.
