anonymous Mar 12 2005, 12:44 PM Game: Attack of the Friggin' Furbys Creator: Hababaluga Genre: Beat 'Em Up Description: All hell breaks loose: Furbys want to take over South Park! Help Cartman to defeat them in this unoriginal game. Rating: 11% Review: Many people made games with Kilk n Play, and I somehow felt sorry for anyone who made good games with it. Even when you created your project other people could still look into Klik n Play data and steal everything from it sad.gif . This game is an example: it copies and pastes a level from Subwoofer's excellent South Park Wars and does a very bad job at it. Why this game isn't labelled as a rip-off on the archives is beyond me or nobody noticed it rolleyes.gif. Just imagine your first gaming project's title screen - which looked worse than your first attempts building a car or a spaceship with your lego toys in your younger ages. This here is no exception. You have to select if you want to see the story or play right away. I see no reason to divide the story and gameplay only the fact that the creator realised that the story was crap, but more to this later. You spent the whole game in an undetailed and single-colored factory room with furbies that look more disgusting than their real-life counterparts. Animations for Cartman are directly ripped from South Park Wars. The story "mode" is ludicrous, having furbies walking over the building and the text you should read rolleyes.gif. The levels have a Halloween type music which totally doesn't fit here. I don't want to talk about the rest of the sound department because it's just forgettable. Like aforementioned this game is a rip-off!!! mad.gif It's exactly the same gameplay and there's no challenge at all. You don't need to care for the timer, because you won't loose when it reaches its top mark. Funnily enough is the fact that the timer says something like "Furbies produced:" and when the number decreases you still see Furbies going into the machine for retail. Every level Cartman will move faster. Why? I don't know. I guess he gets over-motivated. And the timer counts up faster, too. It doesn't make things any harder. When a Furby attacks you, Cartman will suffer a nano-meter decrease to his mile-long healthbar. Not fun at all. I hate when people do something like this. Can't they respect other people's work? Delete this game and play South Park Wars which has the same level plus a dozen different (very entertaining) ones and is certainly more fun.
